Last Spring we were dismayed to learn that the owner had put Mill Leat Farm on the market. Would it mean the end of the Coppice Project? However, after it was sold, approaches were made to the new owners. Luckily, they are very keen for the coppice renovation to continue and would also like to be involved in the practical work.

It’s early days of this relationship but it does bold well for the coppice to come into cycle. No dates have yet been finalised for this season but with the leaves turning and starting to fall we anticipate starting to cut by the middle of October.
