About
I’ve been practising woodland and rural crafts and skills since I was 18 and now run my own business as Dartmoor Greenwood, producing charcoal, coppice products and bespoke hand carved ash handles.
Besides coppice and Devon Hedge laying, I’m trained and work as a Horse logger with Dartmoor Horse loggers, I also work as a self-employed felling contractor with the Woodland Trust. I studied Conservation and Forestry at Bangor, completing a year’s work placement on Dartmoor with John Williamson. I’ve always lived and worked on Dartmoor and am passionate about connecting with the landscape and creating opportunities for other young folk to develop skills in woodland craft and industries.
